2020
Vision Wisconsin has long been a leader in Environmental
Education. With this
education comes knowledge. With
knowledge comes improvement. With
improvement comes a better Environmental Tomorrow… Thousands of individuals in Wisconsin have
benefited from the enriched learning opportunities provided by the
Wisconsin Environmental Education Board (WEEB).
WEEB, a non-profit, cross functional board, formed by the Governor
in 1990, has successfully directed over $5,000,000 in State funds over the
last 15 years for the betterment of our state’s environment. At WEEB, we are looking to secure the long term
success of our State’s Environmental Education plans by implementing a
state wide 2020 Vision plan to continue to improve our state’s
environment. To accomplish
this, we have formed the Wisconsin Environmental Education
Foundation. We need your financial support to ensure 20/20 Vision in
the future. We are searching for partners who appreciate our successes, believe in our vision, and have faith in our abilities to continue to successfully shape Wisconsin’s Environmental Tomorrow.
We clearly see a better tomorrow where the people of Wisconsin have the knowledge and desire to actively improve our state’s environment because of the inspirational and relevant teachings they have received regarding Environmental Education.
This will be accomplished through: 1. Collaborative efforts between all major stakeholders in Wisconsin’s Environment to work together, with a unified vision, while keeping the best interest of the State’s Environmental health in 2020 (and beyond) as the common thread. Environmental literacy and skills are needed by all citizens because environmental stewardship is everyone’s responsibility. Agencies, educational institutions, private organizations and businesses need to work in partnership to provide quality environmental education for everyone. |
