Pheasants Forever LEP

 

  The Sugar River Valley Chapter of Pheasants Forever Wildlife Habitat Team does prescribed burns and provides seeds & some planting .  Our burn team consists of 8 or more individuals who have completed burn school & have red burn cards.  We are certified to draw up Prescribed Burn Plans for government programs.  We also have a food plot seed & planting program.  For more information contact Dave Wisnefske 608-558-2075 or savanasp@tds.net

     Controlled burning is usually done in March, April, and early May.  Our PF chapter owns 2 Grass Fire units.  These are 2 larger Polaris Ranger UTV'S with 65-110 gal. gas powered pumps for grass fire rigs.  We have a seperate 300 gal tank for extra water.  We have several Piss- Pump backpack sprayers, rakes, flappers, drip torches & 3 powerful leaf blowers as well as trailers and additional ATV's with tanks & sprayers. Pricing varies on number of acres, # of fields, quality of burn corridors, hours, writing up burn plans and chapter membership.  On large burns, for members, it can be as low as $30/Acre.   Minimum fee  $500.   For more information please contact:  Dave Wisnefske 608-558-2075 or savanasp@tds.net
