WHAT DO WE NEED?

Wisconsin has long been an innovator and a leader in matters relating to Environmental Education.  Though we have provided millions of dollars to support Wisconsin’s Environmental Education, our good works are far from over. 

Wisconsin’s Environmental Education has been supported by State funds for over 15 years.  In recent years, state budget cuts have impacted this area, like so many others.  Despite this fact, we are committed to continue our efforts to positively impact Wisconsin’s Environmental Tomorrow.  To accomplish this, the Wisconsin Environmental Education Foundation (WEEF) was formed with a charter purpose to augment State funds.

  Our track record of success and vision for tomorrow are clear.  All we need are the resources to enable and empower our team to continue their success. 

  Whether your interest is to enable a $5,000 environmental education project, support a $250,000 state-wide strategic planning initiative, or provide a $1,000,000 gift that in and of itself will change the face of environmental education within your State - it will all make a difference…

To supplement current State funding ($200,000 in forestry and $200,000 for school forest), WEEF is looking to secure the following:

  Annual Needs            

 $200,000        General Environmental Education

 $200,000        Energy Education

 $200,000        Water Education

 $100,000        Strategic Planning for 2020 Vision        

 $100,000        Operations/Communications

 $800,000        Total ($12,000,000 to support 2020 Vision)
